Comment Policy

Improve Photography is a place for people to learn photography, network with other photographers, and enjoy a community of like-minded people.

Unfortunately, many people turn into bullies online.  To make Improve Photography a friendly community, we simply delete such comments and we have received countless emails and comments from our community members who praise Improve Photography for creating this type of friendly environment.

Improve Photography Comment Policy

If a comment…

1. is unfriendly or impolite to the author of the post or any other commenter
2.  advocates an illegal practice
3. uses vulgar, profane, or unnecessarily harsh language
4. is spam or appears to be written primarily to post a link or advertise
5. infringes on the rights of another
6. is written anonymously
7. contains copyrighted material not licensed for distribution on the site
8. impersonates another user
9. is off-topic

…the comment may be deleted by Improve Photography staff or authorized volunteer moderators.  The deletion of comments is wholly within the discretion of the volunteer moderator or Improve Photography employee, and their decision will not be reconsidered.

But What If I Disagree With Someone?

Great!  The whole purpose for allowing comments on Improve Photography is to allow photographers to share their opinions and knowledge.  Please speak up if you disagree with the author of a post or another commenter; HOWEVER, you must be polite and you must be friendly.

Look through the site and you'll see that there are hundreds of comments disagreeing with the author or another commenter.  We welcome those comments!  But if a commenter disagrees and does so in an impolite or unfriendly way…. you guessed it!  The comment will be deleted.

Important Legal Information

The opinions of commenters and guest posters on Improve Photography or its social media sites are not those of Improve Photography LLC or its owners, managers, employees, or representatives.  If a moderator or employee fails to delete a comment, it is not an endorsement of said comment.

The comments on this site are not owned by Improve Photography and only the individual commenter is liable for its comments.
