Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM
A wide prime for night work and environmental scenes on full frame.
Mount: Canon EF
Tradeoffs
- Its large aperture does not remove the need for careful focusing and a stable camera.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM
A simple prime to consider for portraits and available-light work. On a crop-sensor DSLR it gives a tighter view than on full frame.
Mount: Canon EF
Tradeoffs
- A fixed focal length cannot replace a zoom; check your working distance.
