Match Score
95%Pros
- Very slightly wider
- Legendary optics
- Convenient focal range
- Good build quality and weather sealing
Cons
- Requires special filters
- No image stabilization
- Far more expensive than the Tamron
Tough call here. The Nikon 14-24 is legendary and landscape photographers obsess about it. But to be perfectly honest, I prefer the Tamron 15-30 which is a lot less expensive. Why? I'm surprised how often the image stabilization comes in handy, the price is great, and the optical quality is really close to the 14-24. I actually sold the 14-24 because I like the Tamron so much. But 99% of serious landscape photographers would probably disagree with me here and would choose the Nikon 14-24. It's a tough call.
