Note From Jim

The new Canon 10-18 is an excellent offering for crop sensor landscapes. For most photographers, this is clearly the right choice. The only caveat is that if you plan on doing a lot of night photography, choose the Tokina 11-16 for its faster aperture. Most landscapes are shot at f/16 so the aperture won't matter, but if you do night photography, they are usually shot at wider apertures. Tokina for night photography and landscape, Canon for landscape and the rare night photo.
