  1. You might be a photographer if you marry a big, strong wife . . . so she can help you carry all your heavy photographic equipment. A dainty, delicate wife won’t be of any use as a “sherpa”

  2. I’ve been shooting pro since age 18 when I was trained by the TV station to shoot commercial slides for TV spots. I am now age 53, and still had to look up a couple of these zingers.

Enjoyed the ones that I did get.

    Thx

  3. Since the invention of TV or HDRs I find myself rewinding TV shows or movies to see what camera body and lens the actor(tress) is shooting with. Really annoys the wife.

  4. I am guilty of more than a few of these.

You might be a photographer if you go on a weekend trip with 4 custom camera and gear bags and use a reusable grocery bag for your clothes and necessities. ( I am guilty of this one lol)

  5. How about:

You might be a photographer if you can’t help making derisive comments every time you’re watching a night game or concert on TV and see flashes from point & shoots going off in the stands, hundreds of feet from their targets.

  6. NO IT’S NOT TRUE!! I’M NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL!!! OK maybe a bit. We can be so funny.Love these and yes, a bunch hit too close to home. JD

  7. I traveled last week back home to visit my parents in Caracas (Venezuela). I packed minimum survival equipment: my camera, a couple of primes, one speed light and my 5-in-1 42″ collapsible reflector. Going through security the immigration officer there asked me if I had wire on my carry on. I remembered the reflector. He asked me to show him what it was, and 5 minutes later I was with the reflector open and explaining to the beffudled young Venezuelan officer how that was to be used as a light modifier in photography… I’m definitely a photographer.

  8. you might be a photographer … when you go out to a New Year’s party and you’re asked “Where’s your camera?” and you pull out your “point and shoot” to say you’re slumming it.
you might be a photographer … when you bring your own camera to work events, instead of using the crappy camera they bought for that purpose.
you might be a photographer … no might about it, been there done both.
